About the bond proposal:
The Dallas Independent School Board approved a 2015 Bond Initiative to be voted on by the electorate. The proposed bond has many elements that should be known by the voters. These will be a series of meetings designed to inform the voting parents, teachers, principals and all members of the community about the DISD Bond Initiative.  Dr. Jillson will provide an overview of public education and its funding from the local, state, and national governments. The four DISD Trustees will present about the DISD Bond Initiative.  Questions from the audience will be answered.

Texas ranks 50th in the US in graduation rates, and 38th on state spending for public schools. Dallas ISD has the 2nd lowest tax rate compared to the sixteen regional school districts in North Texas.
